SALT DOUGH BEADS FOR CHILDREN

Ingredients
  2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 to 3/4 c. water with food
coloring added

Preparation
  Mix dry ingredients. Add colored water; stir until creamy. Spray cookie sheet lightly with Pam. Form 1/2 to 1 inch balls of dough. Place on cookie sheet. Use a plastic drinking straw to make a hole in the bead. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour. String beads on yarn for a beautiful necklace.

Scald milk. Pour over salt, sugar and shortening. Cool to lukewarm. Add beaten eggs and yeast soaked in a cup of water at 115 degrees. Stir in flour using only enough so dough can be kneaded.
