Bechamel Sauce Microwave


2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 pinch salt
1 dash tabasco sauce
1 cup half and half


1 fresh chives, chopped

Microwave butter in a medium microwave safe bowl, covered with plastic
wrap, on high power until butter is melted, about 1 minute. Stir in
flour, salt and Tabasco sauce until smooth. Gradually pour in Half
and Half, whisking until smooth. Microwave, covered with plastic
wrap, on high for 2 minutes. Whisk until smooth. Microwave for 2
minutes longer. Serve warm. Garnish with chopped chives. Makes 1-1/4
