Minute Steaks Gyros

Ingredients
 


YOGURT SAUCE

1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt
1/4 cup chopped cucumber
1 tbsp chopped onion
1/2 tsp chopped fresh mint
1/4 tsp salt

GYROS

1 clove garlic, finely chopped
3/4 tsp leaf oregano, crumbled
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground allspice
2 minute steaks (10 ounces), cut cros, swise into 2 x 1/
1 inch strips
2 tsp oil
2 large pita breads, cut in half
1 sliced cucumber

Preparation
 
1. Prepare yogurt sauce: Combine yogurt, cucumber, onion, mint and
salt.

2. Prepare Gyros: Combine garlic, oregano, coriander, salt and
allspice in small bowl. Pat minute steak dry on paper toweling. Add
to spice mixture.

3. Cook steak in oil in skillet over medium heat until medium-rare, 2
to 3 minutes. Spoon into pita. Garnish with cucumber. Serve with
sauce.

Nutrient Value Per Serving: 462 calories, 40 g protein, 14 g fat, 42 g
carbohydrate, 1,304 mg sodium,
87 mg cholesterol.

Mom s Pierogi Dough
Mix all ingredients and knead into a soft, pliable dough. Let rest for 10 minutes, covered in a warm bowl. The kneading should only be about 15 or 20 minutes. We haven t used a pasta maker on this, but that should work. Divide dough in half. Roll thing, about 1/8 inch. (Upload by user)
