Date Squares

Ingredients
 

2 cup rolled oats
2 cup flour
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar (brown)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1/2 cup sour milk

Preparation
 
Mix the 1st five ingredients to-gether thoroughly.Dissolve soda in
the sour milk, add to other ingredients and mix well. Put half
mixture in pan and cover with date filling. Put rest of mixture on
top and press down. Bake in 350 oven for 25 min.
